Just that! Wondering how holograms can be so good. 3 of us in the family want to go but boy, its expensive as an outing.

Yes definitely worth it!

Holluschickie · 29/10/2025 10:58

Thank you. What makes it good?

If you like ABBA and want to see it it’s worth it, if not then it won’t be. We went last year and loved it, I think our seats were £150 each. Same as any event/pop concert really. I wouldn’t have paid 10p to see Taylor Swift for example, but people who like her were happy to pay the high prices.

Bladderpool · 29/10/2025 11:03

It’s a fabulous show. I was there 2 weeks ago, I don’t know what my ticket cost as it was a gift but I would pay to see it again. The guys next to us were on their third visit. It’s a joyous experience, the tech is breathtaking and the live band are amazing. Just go!

AgapanthusPink · 29/10/2025 11:07

Definitely worth it! Been to see it twice. First time standing and second time in a dance both ( actually preferred standing as we were closer to the stage). Danced all night and the atmosphere was brilliant because it’s not a particularly big arena and it’s shaped like an amphitheatre so feels quite intimate. Would definitely go again.

Holluschickie · 29/10/2025 11:09

Thanks! We all love Abba. Will go then.

brillant show although I had the standing tickets right near the stage which I was happy about as the atmosphere so close to the stage was amazing

If it helps my son doesn’t love ABBA. Kendrick Lamar and Jid much more his style and he gave it 8 out of 10 ( trust me that is high praise from him).

Catpiece · 29/10/2025 11:11

I’ll tell you how good it is; the night we went I was thinking “we are so lucky to be here on the night that they’re actually here”. That’s how amazing the holograms are. Had me fooled. Incredible. It was rocking x

I have a son who is too cool for Abba too! Not taking him!

I love the music and was into it initially but then increasingly underwhelmed and a bit bored by the end, felt like watching pop videos on a big screen especially with the non-band animations, but plenty of people around me were loving it, especially those with a hen night/girls night out vibe. It's good to have seen it so I don't think you'll regret going, just good to manage expectations.

Waitaminutewheresmejumper · 29/10/2025 11:17

I would have enjoyed it less if sitting, as you aren't allowed to dance (until the last song). I didn't know all the songs which I was (mildly) surprised at - I'm not an Uber fan but am in my 50s, so thought I'd know them - think there were 2 or 3 I didn't. I enjoyed it very much but wouldn't go back.

Effic · 29/10/2025 11:19

Do not sit. Standing is sooooo much better!
and it’s totally worth it!

RandomMess · 29/10/2025 11:19

We sat on the back row so could stand up and dance when we liked. You get a good view regardless.

Allswellthatendswelll · 29/10/2025 11:50

I'd do dance floor as it's more fun and cheaper! It was a fab experience.

Lengokengo · 29/10/2025 11:54

I love ABBA and have been twice. Both times in the standing zone as that’s the only place which had tickets. It was brilliant!!

the whole experience was great, and (side note) is the only place that I have been to with enough ladies loos! ( they know their audience!)

if you like ABBA definitely definitely go

Justwanttobebythesea · 29/10/2025 11:56

I think it's one of those don't know til you've been. I felt I needed to go as I was getting FOMO - it was prob 6 / 10, I think I paid £60 so ok. I went with DH and Dcs - maybe it's more of a laugh in a big girly group. I wouldn't see it again and I wouldn't see another hologram show - I'm definitely more of a live music kind of person!

Brenda34 · 29/10/2025 11:58

I love ABBA but I didn't enjoy it. I didn't think the holograms were that great (especially the mouth movements) and I think I'd have preferred watching old footage in a similar party atmosphere and seeing them perform on film at the age they are now - sitting if necessary and choosing tracks appropriate to their current voices. It made me a bit sad really. Loads of people were enjoying it though.

Tiebiter · 29/10/2025 11:59

I wish I'd had this idea to put holograms on stage and charge £70 to press play.

MaloryJones · 29/10/2025 12:00

I would say so.
Went in May a group of us for my 60th.
Front seated chairs we had but the people behind said if we want to get up and dance to do so, as they intended too as did them behind etc ..
Very impressive indeed I found.
Also do not miss the After Party as they call it . There is a bar on site but outside of the arena that played lots of ABBA songs but also other hits of the time.
I'd love to go again.

Springersrock · 29/10/2025 12:02

I’ve been twice and really enjoyed both times. First time was seated and second time was a dance floor booth. I thought the hologram thing would be a bit weird but it wasn’t

I love ABBA - DH doesn’t, but even he was up singing and dancing.

I probably wouldn’t go again though.

I do really want to do the Mamma Mia thing at the O2

Goldfsh · 29/10/2025 12:05

I loved it. It's very unique. I totally also kept thinking "They are surely real humans NOW though?" I don't know whether if you are nearer the front it's not so convincing? But I didn't need to suspend my disbelief at all!!!

Pekkala · 29/10/2025 15:20

We had the cheapest seats (£38 I think) a couple of months ago and they were a great view. Really enjoyed it but drinks (as always at events) were very pricey - I refuse to pay £10 for a small glass of prosecco.
I'd go again but would try the dance floor next time

Airspice · 30/10/2025 21:03

Oh it’s definitely worth it! I’ve been twice and plan to go again. It’s an unbelievable show, truly spectacular. My daughter was 14 when I first took her, she was blown away by the fact they were not real people on that stage, it’s incredible!

LlynTegid · 30/10/2025 21:06

From time to time I am on the tube with people who have been to the theatre or a music concert/event. Without exception anyone who has come from Abba Voyage cannot hide how much they have enjoyed it.

Hope you do too OP.
