Lightweight but warm/thermal jacket for kids?

7 year old daughter is autistic and refuses to wear bulky jackets. Anyone have a recommendation for a warm winter coat that’s lightweight/not too bulky?

What about a thicker fleece with a separate waterproof on top?

Down is a lot less bulky and warmer for the weight compared to synthetic jackets. But also more expensive!

I agree with down. It’s light and it’s warm. I also recommend those hats that have gloves incorporated. They are so quick and easy for school situations.
