Breastfeeding and brain fog

Does brain fog get better when long term breastfeeding?

My little one is about to turn 1, and is ebf. I have been back at work for about 6 months now(self employed, so manage my own diary to allow for breaks around feeds). LO will be starting nursery in the next few months, so I'm looking to reduce the bf to just first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

However, I've struggled with the energy demands of bf, showing as poor attention span with work and lower motivation (still gets done but nowhere near as efficient as I used to be). I was hoping that as she dropped feeds, I'd feel less of the physical exertion, but it's not had a noticeable difference yet.

Has anyone found they have more energy as baby drops feeds? Or do I need to stop completely before I get my mojo back? I don't think it's lack of overnight sleep making me tired btw: LO sleeps 7-7 most of the time, so I get a good 8+ hours sleep most nights.

I BF DD for 2.5 years and am still very regularly feeding DD who is almost 2.

I don't have any brain fog and wasn't aware it was a thing?

Maybe worth checking things like your Vit D, B vit and red cell levels?
