How would you approach this scenario - refund/money?

Im just curious but if you were in a situation where a company whether it’s a shop, restaurant, airline etc owed you money in terms of a refund or in any other way but hadn’t paid you the money by their own initiative, would you ask for the money back yourself?

Like, say, an airline ought to refund you £500 but didn’t do so themselves, would you be willing to ask for the money back or would you find it very awkward or would you be scared of upsetting them?

I'd ask for it back. Why wouldn't you?

Of course I'd ask for it back. Giving a refund is a pretty regular occurrence if you run/work for a business. Why would anyone be upset?

If I'd waited a reasonable time and they hadn't refunded then yes, I'd be asking for my money back. Don't be under any illusions - they wouldn't be embarrassed asking you for money you owed. Just be polite and inform them that you've yet to receive your refund and ask that they expedite the payment.

I pay for as many things as possible with PayPal, their dispute process is easy and great, you do have to ask the supplier for a refund first though!

Good grief
I’d ask for it back

I would absolutely press them to get the money

If it was a £500 I’d definitely ask for it back. If it was a fiver it would depend on how pissed off with them I was. My time’s worth more than that, but the satisfaction of not letting them get away with “it” might make up for it.
