Is this migraine, flu jab SE, random bug or what?

Had my flu jab Wednesday afternoon, all fine through to Thursday except for low mood all day which I thought was just me feeling a bit down.

Woke up Friday morning feeling like my right eyeball was going to explode, massive painful, nauseating headache and stiff, sore neck. Paracetamol took the edge off and DH brought me sumatriptan and coke. Could barely hold my head up, slept for a couple of hours, then very hungry and thirsty all evening and now feeling a bit feverish and dizzy.

I’ve (happily) only had a handful of migraines and haven’t taken triptans before, not sure if maybe the tablet made me dizzy?

Doesn’t matter what I think it is I guess, I’m just lying here hoping I’ll get some sleep and this whole weekend isn’t a washout 🙁

Covid’s all over the place in my bit of the SE at the moment, could you have that? I had a very similar headache the first time I had it, yonks ago. That said migraine can also cause dizziness and low mood for a couple of days is definitely a precursor for me. The one and only time I took a triptan it gave me some chest tightness but that’s all I remember. Hope it eases up soon.

Thanks ☺️
Yes I guess it could be covid, probably caught it when I went in for my flu jab 🤣 Headache hasn’t featured when I’ve had it before but tbh every time my symptoms were considerably different so it’s hard to say.
I thought getting relief from sumatriptan indicated that it was a migraine but now I’m slightly hot maybe I’ve also got a bug 🦠

The first time I had Covid - right at the start of the pandemic before we even really knew it was a thing - the headache was the thing that sent me to A&E because it was so severe I was worried it was meningitis, and I’m someone that’s used to 15+ migraines a month. So yes, it can happen.
I do keep a box of Covid tests just to put my mind at rest and find it’s helpful to know, others may not be so bothered.

Do you still have a stiff neck or has that gone now?

Neck is always an issue, has been for years, but it feels normal today.
Despite sleeping on and off all day yesterday I had a full 9 hours of proper sleep last night and I woke up hungry so whatever it is I hope the worst is over.
Sorry to hear about your migraine odyssey!
