Currently I am reading The Day We Meet Again by Miranda Dickinson. Two strangers, Sam and Phoebe, meet by accident at St Pancras Station. They are both embarking on a gap year to do something very important in their lives.. Sam to Scotland and Phoebe to Europe.

During the 4 hour delay they find out a lot about each other. When their trains finally arrive they agree to carry on with their plans and meet again 1 year hence.

It is beautifully written, with vivid descriptions of where they stay and the people they meet.

Ceceilia Herne writes stories that are like modern fairy tales.
