Does antibiotics for uti make you wee lots?

I have a uti, got antibiotics on Sunday Macrobid 2 per day for 7 days. It's Tuesday so I've taken 5 tablets. I dont feel much better l, my stomach is bloated and uncomfortable, wee doesn't sting but im needing to go all the time! Is this normal while antibiotics work?
It all started i needed to go to the toilet but didn't stop driving, stupid I know so by the time I got to a toilet it was over an hour and that feeling hasn't really gone. Doctor tested urine said definite infection but thought it would have started to improve by now?

No the urge to pass urine is due to the infection not the antibiotics. Continue to take them as likely a bit early as technically you have only really had 2 days worth. Did your GP send a sample off?

No it was an emergency doctor so he just tested it, said definitely an infection and prescribed antibiotics

I don’t think waiting an hour to pee would give you a UTI. More likely that you already were starting with it at that point.

Are you drinking lots to try and get rid of it? Maybe that’s why you’re going lots. Or the infection hasn’t gone yet.

Ok, continue to take them and finish the course, continue to drink plenty of water and if you still don’t feel like it’s cleared on your last day of antibiotics, speak to your GP and take a urine sample in, hope you are feeling better soon

The feeling of needing to go all the time I get if I have a UTI.

i drink a massive amount and it really helps flush it through.

Just be aware there are 3 main antibiotics for uti and many will work for one person but not the next. So if you continue with lower back pain, regular toilet trips, slight bloating then get straight back and drs will swap the antibiotics. Within 24 hours the need to wee should decrease if there working and you should get better, if the need to wee has not decreased within 48hours then most Dr's where I work will say ring and they will swap them
