On Saturday I received a letter dated 9/10 from Haier/Hoover/Candy informing me of a safety issue and telling me to unplug my dryer.
A quick google this morning found that it was originally issued in May and then another one issued on 1 August when previous repairs were found inadequate. Despite having an extended warranty since purchase (which coincidentally I cancelled about 3 weeks ago), it can't be reasonable that the first I am hearing about this is 18 October?
Has anyone else been affected, and how long did it take for the repair to be carried out? I called today and they can give me no information on how long it will be.
