Is this new Facebook ‘glitch’ driving anyone else mad?

Just idly doomscrolling, (thankfully the stuff going through my newsfeed is boring as hell). I say thankfully because what has happened at least three times in the last week is my finger touches the ‘share button’ and immediately up pops all my contacts on facebook and when i release my finger that post is immediately shared with one of them in chat. Then I have to go into chat and ‘unsend for everyone’ leaving the recipient wondering what the hell i deleted!

Honestly. It’s bloody stressful. Particularly if the post was some trashy TMZ thing or something relevant to my skin condition. Anyone else fallen victim to this update or can tell me how to stop it happening 🙈

I haven't had that but often recently, when scrolling on my iPad, FB suddenly exits itself. Naturally, when you reopen it, it has updated the feed and if you were fortunate enough to have found something fascinating to read (unlikely as that may seem) then you've lost it.

No, but I accidently shared something from here to Facebook a few weeks ago (stuffed phone in my pocket without locking it) and a ridiculous number of people thought it was about me, despite it being incredibly unlike me to post anything remotely personal and I never vaguepost. The poster's circumstances were completely different from mine and it just made me realise how little lots of them know me. I was actually quite cross that they jumped straight to the conclusion it was about me when nothing in the post suggested that.

No but they have a new thing where if you touch the screen accidentally while watching a story, a wheel comes up for you to choose a reaction. Think I’ve “reacted” with some very strange emojis in the last few days which is very cringe 😂

I will only open Facebook on my laptop now (but that's because I'm old and my eyesight isn't what it was). It's far too easy to do something unwanted on the apps.

Yes! if I’m scrolling and stop scrolling at the wrong place it shares the random post to a random person. Think it’s happened on instagram too.
