Does anyone know Manchester airport parking?

It's terminal 2, I will be picking someone up. I want to meet them in arrivals. I have mobility problems and use sticks so need to park as close to arrivals as I can . No blue badge unfortunately. Looking at Google it says use T2 short stay car park west. Can anyone tell me how close this is to arrivals? Is there anywhere to sit near arrivals to wait?
I really want to meet them in arrivals but because I am limited with my mobility I need to plan and know what I'm dealing with.
Thanks

Yes, T2 is best for arrivals but it's short stay. Finding a seat in arrivals there isn't possible though. Make sure the flight isn't delayed. Don't rely on arrival time because it can take up to half an hour from landing to get to arrivals and through the departure gate. Longer if the person has hold luggage.

Thank you. Good point re delays and getting through security etc.
Is there a coffee shop or anything in arrivals?

How far is it from the parking at the T2 west car park, on foot to the arrivals hall exactly?

It’s about 200m, I’d say. The express pick up has a 15 minute limit (at a cost). You’ll need to park on a higher floor and pay for however long you think you’ll need. I believe you can pay in advance to get a reduced rate.

Just to add, our regular taxi driver loiters in a nearby housing estate til he knows we have our luggage.

Thanks, do the other levels of the car park have a lift?
