They called it a coffee pod holder. I’m not sure it is!! Expected to come home, do an image search and find that it’s a designer item worth 1000s. But google is giving me nowt!

Is the bottom of the insert concave or convex from the top?

ginasevern · 18/10/2025 18:33

I mean, just about anything could be a coffee pod holder! But this obviously wasn't made for that specific purpose. Sort of looks like a caffetiere gone wrong. In fact it looks like the glass jar bit and the metal insert bit don't really belong together.

It looks like you could use it for storing cotton wool balls. 😁

Newsenmum · 18/10/2025 18:48

isnt it a cafetiere/ french press?

Makes me think of a Horlicks mixer.
We used to use one of these to make bedtime drinks for hospital patients back in the 1970s. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175967193592?chn=ps&_ul=GB&google_free_listing_action=view_item

That's the first thing I thought of but there are no holes in the plunger. I had a horlicks mixer until a few years ago when it got broken.

A punch bowl with ladle in?

ShaunaOfTheDead · 18/10/2025 20:04

Someone has posted the answer above Confused

TartanMammy · 18/10/2025 20:09

It's a coffee pod holder. So that you don't need to reach into the glass when the pods get low you can pull them up towards you.

SeaAndStars · 18/10/2025 20:12

That's a helluva lot of money for what is a glass jar and a bit of metal.
