Music rights on Facebook reel - anyone around to help please?

I work for a tiny local company and made a video reel in CapCut. Spent ages choosing the perfect music. Noticed at the bottom it had an icon and said something about it being ok to use for commercial purposes - CapCut and TikTok, so thought it was ok to download and use.

Posted the reel on the company FB page today and have a message saying Meta have muted it in certain countries due to them not having music rights.

It is prompting me to remove the music, or click a button to confirm I have permission to use it (it's just an instrumental from CapCut).

We have fewer than 200 followers and our reach is usually around 1k - 3k for a reel...do you think I'll get away with using it or is it far too risky? Being a tiny company we don't have a legal team to consult...and there doesn't seem an option to replace the music, so any advice very much appreciated.

Just add a sound from Facebook when editing

Is it a real message from Meta? I have been contacted on FB messenger purporting to be from Meta telling me my account will be taken down due to a violation if I didn't do such and such , and it's a scam message.

I'd just delete the reel.

It's too late to do that once posted unfortunately.

Yes, the notification is within Facebook- it appears as a banner at the top when I click on it.

I'd just delete the reel.

Annoyingly, it's performing really well so I'm loathe to do that! Got a couple of shares and a few comments already, otherwise I would have done (and just muted the video and added music within Meta when editing instead).

Loads of pieces of music are not licensed in specific countries; if it’s not muted in the country where your target audience resides then there is no issue. Facebook is already taking appropriate action to mute it in the countries where it’s not licensed, so you don’t need to do anything. Do you need it to work in Azerbaijan or China? Unlikely.
