Could you help me with a pub suggestions. My sister was born there and wants to have her big birthday dinner in a pub, with food, In Notting Hill or somewhere nearby, Group of 12ish, will be a week day dinner and want somewhere nice and relaxed and serves good food . She really likes the Pelican (but it's fully booked on the night we need.) so something similar would be great. Not the Cow (for some only reason known to her). But any other suggestions would be great. I haven't been to Notting Hill for ages so a bit clueless and I stupidly volunteered to book somewhere.

The Mitre towards Holland Park used to be a lovely pub when I lived there a few years ago.

When is it? The Churchill Arms is fun at Christmas with all the trees. It does nice Thai food.

The Champion used to be my local, I also liked The Elgin
