Hope everyone has had a good day. Another very busy one for me. Worked a 6 hour shift, got petrol, collected DD16 to go food shopping, had a drive around to help her to destress ( long story) then home to make tea. We had southern fried chicken breast steaks, chips & peas. I may have had 4 custard creams beforehand! Ordered my interval drink for a matinee I’m going to later in the week - I’m a theatre member & was able to use ticket credit to pay for it. Having an AF Tarquin gin & tonic ( double). Now watching Corrie. DD is having the longest shower in history! It’s feeling really late. Hate the shorter days. I want to hibernate.

Hi, still watching Below Deck on hayu.
It's become a kind of comfort blanket.

I've eaten about 12 Tesco rich tea fingers, I'm addicted to them..

It's dull but I'm extremely tired out and it's peaceful.

It's beautifully quiet out in the garden. I live in a rural town in South Devon.

X

Oh dd has gone to bed. Doggo is asleep on the sofa.
Yep the winter ahead or the lack of sunlight has started to get real!

Seawolves · 15/10/2025 22:02

Laying in bed watching rubbish TV and jumping out of my skin every time my 5yr old's sats monitor alarms. I think it might be a long night!

Just found out an ex of mine was found dead last night. Bit of a shock.
The news spoilt my tv Traitors night

Chickened out of the last mission on my game because I'll die lots and it'll probably take hours, so rewatching TWD.

Bloody hell. Take a squeeze man.

Even though they're exs we loved them once. Be kind to yourself.

DS1 is online shopping for his GF birthday. Every now and then I am asked for my opinion as If I am an expert on what 19 year old girls like...I am not. DS2 is doing his physio exercises and complaining. DH has just got in from walking the dog and now we are watching Black Books as another thread on here reminded me how much we liked it years ago.

mondaytosunday · 15/10/2025 22:08

I’m crocheting and watching The Last Frontier. Actually that’s not true I’m standing by the back door waiting for the dog to pee! Also expecting a call from my DD who said she’d call me when she leaves the library and walks back to her shared house (she’s at Durham).
Dog is taking her sweet time.

Watching The Breach (just started it, no idea what it's about, was recommended as the last film I was watching ended) and thinking I should go to bed.

Gosh I'm not surprised, so sorry to hear that xx

I'm just settling down to watch Upstairs, Downstairs (original version). Think it's going to be a tearjerker episode: I Dies From Love.

Just had a chicken cuppa soup and I've tested negative for covid, having tested positive last week.

Ds and dh are scrolling on their phones and dd had an early night. Everyone had covid just recently and our sleep patterns have gone wrong. And ds has had jet lag on top of it having just come back from Japan and Vietnam.

Collected the new stove we have for the living room fireplace. Got a Toby carvery takeaway and was eating it when DH mentioned we had got £100 parking fine from Toby Carvery when we got a takeaway from them mid September. I called them and they cancelled it. Put the silkies to bed and now opening the stove. Cat is super excited at a box and a new heater.

Shoulders ached all day, probably because of having to cart my laptop to the office to work there yesterday. I have a backpack for it but not sure if it's good or bad to have that instead of a laptop bag.
At least I was wfh today. Put on some fairly scruffy leggings not expecting to see anyone, then the window cleaner arrived and needed access to the back, so I did see someone!
DH went to work, DS went to college and DD took an extra shift at her supermarket job so worked 12-5.
Have managed to go all day without chocolate, first time for ages but think i need to try and lose some weight! Breakfast was scrambled egg with beetroot and onion, lunch was a baked potato with tuna, cucumber, onion, salt and vinegar mixed to gether for the filling and I had promised DD a roast dinner when she came in, so we had chicken breasts out of the freezer and i did mash, carrots, peas and gravy plus some frozen yorkshire puddings from the freezer - can't complain at 46p for a bag of 15!
My sister brought me a big bag of pears from her tree at the weekend, so been snacking on those.
Just been on screens tonight except for a game of solo scrabble. My day off tomorrow - was looking forward to some time ALONE to tidy the house but yet again on my day off, DH is claiming her's not well which means I can't do floors and stuff or he'll slip - he never listens when I tell him it's wet. So I think I'll go and see my sister instead.
