Do your sofas/armchair match?

Do you have a set or?

I have two sofas both different styles and colours.

I’m looking at buying brand new ones and thinking maybe I should get matching - even though originally I thought that was boring.

It’s a boring question - but I am curious 😂

No, I don't like matching sets.

TeenLifeMum · 14/10/2025 20:21

no, both are velvet but sofa is dark green L shaped with squishy cushions along the back and arm chair is a navy chesterfield cuddle seat.

It's easier to buy not matching as you can get exactly what suits the space, also often cheaper as sale items are sometimes just a single item

Two sofas match, and then two armchairs which match each other but not the sofas.

DappledThings · 14/10/2025 20:28

No, not at all. One is teal fabric, one is brown leather.

Nope.

Doing up my house on a budget I got two matching sofas 'Free to Collector' on Marketplace. When I put them in the sitting room they looked so matchy-matchy that I've now put one in the kitchen. The other is in the sitting room with a mismatched, also 'Free to Collector,' chair. It feels more relaxed and homely to me.

One living room the two sofas match but the chair doesn’t, one only has one sofa in, the other none of it matches

mondaytosunday · 14/10/2025 21:25

No. But they are in the same fabric though different colours. I have the matching arm chair (and that colour matches the non matching chair in the living room) in the dining area. I’m not sure I’ve explained that very well!
