Help me sum up the courage to keep sanding and painting...

After agonising over which shade of white to go with for weeks if not months, and multiple threads here, I finally settled on one. If anyone cares, it's BM White Dove, which is apparently the most universal go-to white you could possibly get - meaning all the drama was for nothing - but I simply got overwhelmed and fatigued with all the more "interesting" options.

Anyway... I got a good amount of sanding and painting done yesterday. There's a thick, gloopy layer of gloss paint on all the woodwork that needs to go - fireplaces, baseboards, picture rail, door frames, etc. - and a lot of it is quite intricate. I thought it was a nightmare to clean but the sanding and painting is a million times worse...

I was supposed to wake up bright and early this morning and keep going, but I just can't force myself to do it all over again 😅I already feel like I'm getting carpal tunnel! But I have to because I have people arriving on Thursday.

How do I get up and get working again!? I was in such a good flow state yesterday but finding any excuse not to right now!

Music! Regular breaks! Hire a teenager to help! Good luck!

@SquirrelFan thank you! After having the builders in earlier this month I don't think I can even afford a teenager anymore, but it's a nice thought...

Audi books and podcasts are your friend - this is what I do! Keeps your brain active and keeps you going when its boring.

Set alarms for regular breaks.

Wear a mask!

Podcasts. Betwixt the sheets have singlehandedly renovated the bathroom with me.

@OverlyFragrant thanks for the rec, hadn't heard of that one before but just googled and it sounds very juicy!
