What’s the best ever travel mug? I’m thinking of getting a really nice one as a birthday present for a coffee lover.

I have a small Yeti one that keeps things hot for hours

The bodum stainless steel flask mugs - stays hot for hours. Whatever you do get avoid the mugs with a handle as they don’t always fit in car cup holders.

Do you think they need one they can get refilled I coffee shops? Or just one ok to fill at home?

Also would they want to drink out of a wee hole? Or take the lid off to sip? The latter are better for keeping drinks hotter for longer ime.

Another vote for Bodum stainless steel. Absolutely awesome.

Definitely one without a handle, better for going into a bag.

I really like my chilli cup (the original design not the new one). It keeps my coffee hot all the way to work but not too hot so I can’t drink it

Contigo for no leaking. There is nothing quite so awful as to walk around with dripping coffee coming out of your bag or your laptop slowly marinating in tea.

Leak proof, keeps my tea hot for hours and fits into the cup holder in my car!

I've got 2 Contigo mugs of different sizes which are equally as good as my Moon mug but don't fit in the car cup holder.

Contigo -- but get a stainless steel one so that it can go through the dishwasher. The pretty colours are not dishwasher proof and the colour starts to peel off.

Also another thing to be aware of -- these are not great for coffee shop refills as they are too tall.

But great for keeping drinks hot and leak-proof

Contigo luxe stainless steel, bomb proof and DH swears they make hot drinks hotter, 8 agree with PP the colours are pretty but not dishwasher safe , the stainless steel one is

Another one saying Bru. They're ceramic lined, so don't have that weird metallic taste. I made teas at 7.30am yesterday and it was still hot at midday.
