Evening folks - hope you’ve had a good Friday. I had a quick but lovely catch up with 2 of my oldest friends & exceeded my daily steps total. Did a few errands including popping to Farmfoods for 3 packs of battered cod/haddock & a massive bag of steakhouse chips. We were going to have pie & mash for tea but having fish, chips & peas instead as I cba to peel any spuds or the carrot! Currently watching The One Show. DD16 is on the phone, presumably to her GF, and has been for ages. DH is on his laptop. We’ll watch Corrie & I’ll catch up with MAFSUK as I’m still only on the initial episodes of this series. Think I prefer the Aussie version but it’s enjoyable.

In bed feeling quite poorly after the flu/covid jab this morning.

I'm in bed, browsing the Internet and trying to get used to being on my own now my DS has started university. He's loving it.
I took my car in for its MOT this morning and went round to see my mother.

DH and I have started watching Cold Water so just on episode 1. Dcat and Ddog are sleeping on the sofa so I am sat on the floor. DS2 is revising (apparently) and DS1 is staying at his girlfriend's because his room was just painted and still smells funny.

Trying to motivate myself to go and get some petrol,then go shopping where DD works so I can pick DD up from her part time job. They're closing that particular road every night - what fun (not). I had sausages and mushrooms for tea with bread and butter.
DH is watching tv, no idea what DS is doing upstairs

DH is camping so not here till Sunday.

DS1 is sleeping off a migraine, I’m hoping he will sleep till the morning.

DS2 is watching tv in the family room.

I’ve lit a million candles and I’m watching a random programme on bbc1 about policing in Bermuda.

I’m listening to Classic FM At The Movies, about to go and pick up DH from the train station. Pie for tea which I’m excited about. Won’t stay up too late as I foolishly booked a flu jab for early tomorrow morning. What was I thinking?

Teen’s pizzas are in oven, can only fit x2 at a time, they are basically dough piled high with garlic, feta, jalapeños and njuda.

Teens have both had a good week so they are chasing pixels online.

I have just finished a book, know what’s next so not the usual “oooo what shall I read now” next book choice. Drinking a Friday glass of red.

H home so might push for Friday film night - I am training them up to make butter toffee popcorn on hob, it’s lovely, crunchy, sweet, warm. They are getting quite good and love watching the pops through the glass lid.

Just home. DS is down from uni for the weekend. We've just redecorated his bedroom in our new house so about to put up his curtains. Still to make tea too!

Me and dh just got in from work, he’s picked up fish and chips on the way home. I do t usually like them but missed lunch so ate my sons left over chips.

We've had bangers and mash for tea with veggies and now we're watching 24 hours in Police Custody my husband playing his game and I'm scrolling.

Feeding the baby/toddler to sleep, he had a bad night so hoping for a better one tonight!
DD is meant to be heading to bed but I can’t hear much in the way of teeth and wee before bed, hoping DH doesn’t think I will do it!
DH has the darts on, I haven’t even thought about our tea as kids had a play date this evening with a McDonalds tea!
started the Edd Gaines series on Netflix the other night so will
watch another episode then book and bed!

DH, DC and I are in bed watching a K drama. I started watching it alone but DH got involved, so I'm prisoner to watching it without forwarding past the cheesy bits.

DC have their devices after some board games.

We have a busy weekend, we need this downtime.

My husband is falling asleep on the sofa after driving 5 hours back from meetings today. My middle child is next to him having snuggles after a long school day (neurodivergent and feeling burnt out by the ridiculously long 7 week half term). My eldest is in his bedroom getting cross about something about shouting 'damn it'. My youngest is in bed next to me, falling asleep.

Not working today. At home most of the day as I had my sun pipe installation booked for today. Sun pipe is now in and lighting up a dark hallway (well not at the moment as it’s dark outside but it will in daytime). I took advantage of the fine weather, dried 2 washloads on the outside line and painted a fresh coat of Ronseal cornflower on the garden cabin ready for winter. Made cups of tea and chatted with the installer. After the installer left, I took my car to the garage to get the rattle investigated. As I suspected, it needs work done on suspension so I have booked it in in a few weeks time. Picked up some food from the supermarket on the way home. Cooked a family dinner. Now relaxing.
I like to spend time in the garden and I like to keep busy so it was an enjoyable day and not atypical for a day off.

Today is my day off but a problem with some payments meant I logged on for a bit and because we have staff absence due to holiday and sickness, I replied to a few emails and sorted a few things for Monday. Went to the gym, and 2 supermarkets. Made creamy tarragon mushroom pork chops for tea. DS is out drinking with work. DH and me are sat here with the cat watching the darts!

Watching the 1% Club, ginger cat is sitting on the coffee table, DH is eating mandarin jelly and bemoaning the fact that the replacement drive belt he bought for his record player turntable is the wrong size.

There's no getting away from it - I'm bored.

Mince and pasta for tea as its about the only thing dh can cook and I've cooked every night this week. Am bathed and packed for a weekend in London tomorrow so just MNing with a Guinness zero while dh watches footy.DS is out playing his bass at a gig. He'll be back later.

DS2 and I are watching stardust, I’ve just hooked up my tens machine for my back and taken my nightly magnesium. I’ll moisturise my feet shortly.

I’m in bed, on my phone, having intermittent play fights with one dog.

DH is downstairs with the other two dogs.

I need to pack some stuff to drive to my caravan early tomorrow- I don’t want to miss high tide for a swim. Work was bonkers today, and I finished late, or I would’ve gone tonight.

Update- boy dog from downstairs is now cuddled up to me too.

I'm now eating Minstrels and watching a repeat of HIGNFY, the cat is still on the coffee table, and DH has gone to bed.
