I don't usually watch EastEnders (it used to be my Sunday afternoon treat with my Grandma) but read about this storyline and was so impressed with it and the BBC 3 documentary. It's terrifying.
Would love to understand how, as a society, we can tackle this hatred and failure towards both our male and female children.

I'm an avid fan of EE's. I don't like this story line because it makes me feel uncomfortable. But, I feel like it's relevant. Thankfully my DS isn't anything like this but you never know. It's so hard for parents.
I think it takes just one bad apple. From what I've seen on EE, there is no way my DS would get away with any of that behaviour. The parents just keep trying to dig their way out of it. But if it's your DS, wouldn't you do just that? It's a difficult one for sure.
