Hi.. I'm a lone parent to two young boys 3 and 7. We wish to relocate to no more than a 45 minute train journey into central London.. Can you recommend any good areas with lots of green spaces and good primary schools please? I have been thinking about Walthamstow and Greenwich but do not have a huge budget for property.. 600K maximum to purchase a house. Ideally I'd need to commute to Brighton by car a day a week. I have also thought about Forest Row area as we are looking for somewhere creative as I'm a musician, but the commute seems quite long. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Many Thanks!

How do you plan to manage childcare if you commute? East Grinstead is probably at the very limit of your commute time. Dorking might be worth considering. Where in London do you need to get to?

Most parts of London have good primary schools. Parts of Sutton would fit budget wise and have green spaces and great schools. Also accessible for Brighton.
