I've only gone and done it, felt like I would never know peace until I'd tried it at least once, what a sad sack!

It’s flavoured water
You have to scrub the actual dirt off with fairy liquid and then when you’ve rinsed that off you can give it a blast with the flavoured water and the place smells nice for about five minutes
All for the pleasure of 35 quid

I use P&F as a glass/mirror cleaner and it’s really effective for that. And I use it to wipe clean my kitchen worktops and coffee machine. But that’s about it so I don’t get through it very quickly at all (I use Bower Collective for my main cleaning products) so cancelled my subscription as I had quite a backlog building up and need to work my way through that.

As for scent, I find the most effective way (and cheapest once you get set up) to scent my home is to use wireless diffusers (from Neom or Lintros) with essential oils (from Nikita). Much more effective and long lasting than candles. I love a candle (or 20!) but so many have a really poor throw and they’re increasingly expensive for what you get, and obviously a bit of a fire hazard too.

I bought a starter kit of the bottle, two cloths and 3 fragrances for £15. To be honest, I'm glad I didn't pay more. The aroma fades very quickly. Shame.

Rainydayinlondon · 09/10/2025 18:32

I like them for laminated furniture including laminated floors and I clean the outside of the loo daily with the bathroom bliss and sinks when I just want to freshen them up.

For me it’s about not having to wear gloves and they’re relatively inexpensive when they’re on offer

HÆLTHEPAIN · 09/10/2025 18:36

I like their cloths but I opted for Neat products instead, which are fab!

Glitchymn1 · 09/10/2025 18:39

So did I. I find I’m cleaning and then going over things again with P&F- I’m realising this is an insane waste of time.
DH walked in and said nothing - basically makes cleaning more pleasant with the scent and that’s it!

Me too.
They don’t send you reminders when your next delivery is due either so you need to make a note of when the next lot is coming.
They’re very overrated and not particularly effective either 🤷🏼‍♀️

Well my Purdy and Figg is here and I'm disappointed. The Pear which was the scent that really made me pull the trigger is not the warm golden sweet pear I was imagining but a very green, almost acrid scent I am really not liking. The Ginger and Citrus is also a bit harsh and lacks depth and sweetness. The only one I like is the lavender and camomile. The cloth and bottle are really nice quality but I think I'll need to add some of my own essential oils to make the other two scents palatable to me and I doubt I'd repurchase.

That’s a shame OP. But you’ve taken one for the team and saved us from the false promise of nice smells.

LindorDoubleChoc · 12/10/2025 20:17

Oh dear! Must have money to burn as DlateGMa would say.

LindorDoubleChoc · 12/10/2025 20:24

If you want a lovely clean smell in your kitchen, then honestly you cannot beat Ecover lemongrass and orange multi action cleaner. It's safe to use around food, a little goes a long way, you can refill the bottle again and again at your local Eco shop and it smells beautiful. I've been faithful to it for as long as I can remember.

imnotwhoyouthinkiam · 12/10/2025 20:26

I keep seeing this advertised and nearly buying some. Then I remember how many bad reviews I've seen, added to the fact I have no sense of smell so don't care what my cleaning stuff smells of anyway!
I'll stick to my Smol, which seems to get things clean.

pteromum · 12/10/2025 20:29

We have a wonderful local lady who makes the best ever cleaning products. Plus creams and perfume copies. She says this is her autism superpower. She can take one smell and Copy it.

PortSalutSherryHello · 12/10/2025 20:48

We use Neat which is nice

Wolfiefan · 12/10/2025 21:17

@pteromum that sounds fab!

JFDIYOLO · 25/11/2025 16:08

My FB and Insta are heaving with P&F ads - and many of the people I like to follow are coyly wiggling and tippy tappying their promo packs of P&F Christmas specials.

It all looks and sounds gorgeous. And such a discount ...

I was HUGELY tempted. Step inside ... and buy an entire lifestyle right here. (Like the Chitty Childcatcher ...)

But the chorus of voices saying it doesn't smell that nice, and the smell doesn't last or transform your home into a spa? And how expensive it is for what it is?

I'll listen to them. I WILL.

chalkfloss · 25/11/2025 16:27

@JFDIYOLO It is massively overhyped for sure, really disappointing and so not worth it but their marketing is very, very good so don't feel bad for being tempted! Method is better and the scent lasts longer too.

I really love their products, especially for wiping down laminated furniture in kids’ bedrooms… I also like their bathroom spray to use as a quick clean of the loo and basins.
