If you had 100k to start a business, what would you do?

I've recently come into some money and for health reasons I need to give up my current job.

Musing with friends what I could do to become self sufficient by using my 100k wisely so I don't have to rush out and find another job.

So, if you had the time, money and the skills, what business would you start that you reckon has a fair chance of success in the next few years?

That's interesting, I was thinking about event and festival equipment hire the other day.

Ended up on this thread while researching corporate investment setups. If you want something fairly hands-off due to health reasons, putting part of that £100k into investments through a limited company could be worth exploring, but I’d get proper tax and regulatory advice first.

When we needed an LEI for our Italian company’s investment account, I used Registro LEI because the registration and renewals were inexpensive and straightforward. It removed one piece of admin, but the company structure itself still needs professional advice.
