Is this friendship group coming to an end?

They're nice people and were very good indeed to me during a horrible time of my life - one of those you find out who your friends are times, when I found out those I thought were good friends weren't at all, but this group of, largely, aquaintances stepped up.

They're kind, reliable, decent and a lot of fun.

They like a drink.... a lot.

I don't drink much at all when I'm not with them, but when with them I've enjoyed a drink too.

Recently though, I find I don't enjoy it enough to suffer the hangover, and have cut back a lot, even when with them. I'm still enjoying myself, but they find me "boring". They're saying it in a lighthearted way, and it's true I'm less likely to dance on tables (a figure of speech, I don't think I've ever actually done that), but I still participate in everything.

This weekend, I drank more than I wanted to tbh, but about a third of what some of them did. One man has taken to ordering a beer and a glass of wine every time he orders!

I'm happy to carry on as we are with me drinking less, but I don't think they are...

Well if they only want you in their company if you match their heavy drinking then they don't really care about you and your welfare. They just want another drinking buddy who doesn't shame them by drinking less than them.

I think well done to you for cutting back on the alcohol and yes, you should find yourself some new friends who don't try and presurize you into drinking.
