It needs to be mild because I have small kids but I am interested to hear about any curry pastes you have found which you really rate. I am thinking about Indian / Thai / Malaysian but happy to hear about anything you thought was really good. Thank you!

I just buy the spices indivually generally you need cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, chili powder, turmeric and paprika. I also have garlic and ginger. Doesn't take too long to measure out the required spices and cheaper too.

I like to make my own but find the Pataks Korma paste useful to have on hand. It's useful for marinades and for flavouring cooked rice when I'm making myself a quick (and gluten free) hot lunch and it keeps for ages in the fridge. Sometimes, I even make a curry with it!

i know you’re right and actually once you’ve done it a few times it’s easy but right now I know I’m not going to get round to doing it. Maybe in a couple of years 😂

Lol buy a couple of spices each week to build up your stock cupboard. I usually pull my recipes off chatgpt, but I enjoy making saag, masala, keema, honestly doesn't take that much longer and tastes amazing.

Spice Tailor Keralan coconut curry. It’s really mild. We add carrots, cauliflower and peas steamed in the microwave and then quorn pieces. It takes 20 mins max including the veg chopping and one pack feeds three adults and a teenage boy.

I get mine from Waitrose as they are often on offer. Big variety, even at my little store. The large Tesco near me also often has them on offer and has a good range. I think my Mum gets hers from Sainsbury's

Thanks I will check these places. I used to get them in Tesco but they have vanished recently (along with the Potts cans which I also liked for a cba to cook day as they also had minimal additives)
