What could never be invented now, if it was new? (Lighthearted)

Some things were invented long before the invention of "health and safety". What things could never be invented now, if somebody thought of them now, for safety, or cultural reasons?

Cars, for a whole host of reasons.

Church bells (rung using ropes): extremely dangerous to somebody who does not know what they are doing; and too loud, especially for newcomers to a village.

Blowing out candles on birthday cakes: fire risk.

I almost got whisked up in the air while trying to learn how to bell ring so I agree on that note alone.

Horse riding perhaps.

Owning dogs especially large ones.

Cigarettes

Western Movies. Hideous on all counts!

Fireworks

Alcohol or over the counter pain killers without a prescription

Sunbathing, tanning oil, sunbeds

Home hair dye

Boxing definitely, Rugby maybe.

Any hunting sports - growse/pheasant/fox

Cigarettes. And probably alcohol. Oh, and definitely fireworks. I mean,really? Setting light to a tube filled with gunpowder?! The mind boggles.

This reminded me of the story that my late Ddad used to tell me, about when he was a bell ringer at his local church in his teens and early 20s. The exact same thing happened to him when he was a beginner!
