Mortgage Survey when we have a leak.

Hi We’re in Scotland and our buyers have a mortgage survey scheduled for Tuesday. We just discovered a leak yesterday and had a plumber attend. It’s going to fixed in the next few days. But our hot water is going to be off until then as a precaution. We still have cold water and heating.

Is this going to be a major issue and what should we tell the surveyor? I don’t want to stop our buyers from getting their mortgage.

TIA

I'm certain it won't be a problem. You can explain the situation and that it's being remedied this week. The surveyor will be able to see the boiler, see the heating's working and, if they, the mortgage company or the buyer are very particular, they can ask for confirmation when it's all fixed.

Thank you so much. That makes sense and I hope that’s the case.
