So this is a little broad really. We have a 2 young boys, 1 and 4. We currently live in South Yorkshire and are considering a move. We love being outdoors and our boys thrive in the outdoors too. We are probably having a 'rose tinted glasses' type dream but would would love to be closer to the coast and or countryside. We are kind of semi rural now and I do love having family activity farms and that sort of thing nearby but I would love to be in a small village that's much closer to the countryside. I would love somewhere where we could have a big garden or lovely walks right on our doorstep. Close to the coast would be great as we are currently 2 hours away and my boys would absolutely live at the beach if they could. Rain or shine. We've always dreamed about moving to the Lake District but I think that's just a bit too far away from family for us. We'd like to stay north east and are considering Northumberland, County Durham, possibly North Yorks type areas. Would love some recommendations from people who actually live there for some villages I should be looking at. Good schools are essential. I have it in my head that we could have a much better way of life somewhere up that way so please feel free to burst my bubble 😂. Also budget isn't the best, maybe 400k max and would ideally like a 4 bed to have grandma stay over. So I think we are priced out a lot of the places I've seen when googling. Just would like some real life advice from people who actually live somewhere like this that they love and some ideas of where to avoid too!
