Do you use features on your electric toothbrush and Amy app?

My exciting Friday night question
If you have a connected toothbrush or one with different modes do you use them?

My old one an Oral B has just stopped charging and unfortunately need a new one. Mine has one speed and just peters out when the battery is going with no reminder (I can’t charge all the time) also indicates if I brush too hard but that’s it.

All sorts of new things like different modes such as sensitive or whitening, different speeds and access to an app that apparently uses AI to tell me how to brush.

That just sounds overengineered and thoroughly demented.

Thanks @tiredangry , I thought so too but wondered if they work for anyone.

I have a Suri. It doesn’t have any fancy features but the charge lasts for weeks, the heads last far longer than my old oral b ones did, and they get recycled.

My toothbrush has an APP and umpteen modes.

It's at least 3 years old (done well for an OralB).

I'm still to download the APP and only ever use one mode (basically the highest buzzyness).

It's all a big gimmick.

My very basic and pretty old OralB one has a light that flashes when the battery is going.

The bells and whistles one you're talking about sounds like a tool for taking money off of people.

Got a nice basic Oral B

Ive got one like that (i won it in a raffle) its got a charging case and a thing you stick on the mirror and 6 different modes. I have on the first setting and that's it. When it dies im getting a suri.
