Magical moments with nature

Tell us about your interactions with nature today. For me it's been watching dolphins close up chasing fish , truly magical. And having my daily chat with my visiting seagull!

Not quite as exiting as dolphins! but I was helping clear some straggly bushes and dig out their roots in my daughter's garden. A very confident robin was hopping all around me, making the most of the freshly dug earth. We had quite a chat (well I did - he mainly listened). Also watched a beautiful green woodpecker for a while on a dead branch.

Today I saw Baby loggerheads turtles. Just hatched

Currently on holiday in Cape Verde. Yesterday we watched egg laying on the beach

Yesterday I had to walk through a herd of fancy cows (the ones with the fancy hairstyles that a teenage boy would envy) and also saw a grey heron.

I just love the trees at this time of year. Watching the yellow leaves falling off the trees, and all the different colours of trees, purple, dark green, yellow and red ones that look like fire. Stormy grey skies and low sun. It’s my favourite season and I love walking or driving through my town and noticing the changes day by day.

I saw a dawn rainbow on Wednesday, a reddish pink arch in the sky. Magical.

Started a new job today and was feeling so overwhelmed with it and a little teary. Went out into the grounds on my break for a breather. Saw two beautiful butterflies dancing together and made me think about how fragile life is and how transition can be scary but also amazing. My mindset shifted. Nature is the best medicine and therapy for me.

I was once sat in a park near Borough Market. Busy, bustling London but this little oasis of calm. A starling came and sat in the bench next to me, looked straight at me and just sang and chirped for ages. It felt like it was doing it just for me. I’ve never forgotten it.
