Best hotel for Gatwick South terminal?

Any experiences/tips very welcome please!

Need a room for one adult this Saturday night. Either with long-stay car parking and a shuttle to south terminal – or close to walk from Gatwick station at night time please.

I don't need fancy but do want a bit of space, so not the tiny rooms at Bloc.

The Hilton nearby or the Premier Inn.

Sofitel is lovely and convenient for both terminals.

Be careful with the Gatwick Premier Inn. They have a habit of barging into your room in the early hours to clean it, even if you are still asleep in bed. They did it to us twice last time! We won't stay there again.

Courtyard Marriot is good and a short walk from the terminal - I booked months in advance and got a cheap deal, but no refunds if I'd cancelled.

Oh I'm sorry, the Hilton I was thinking of is at Stansted. So much flying lately, all airports just merge ...

But I've never had a problem at the Premier Inn at Gatwick. I used to like Yotel there as well, but that's like a Bloc cabin-hotel.
