i was shopping, charity shops, supermarkets, dh was waiting outside
there was a woman in one charity shop who seemed a little bit odd, just her demeanour, standing too close to me, anyway i saw a bag i liked but wasnt sure of the colour and she also bought it,
i came out and said to my dh - i am not sure about this colour, and a mad woman behind me also bought it, you know, a flippant comment.
turns out the man he sat next to on the bench, they were chatting, said to him, that was probably my wife!

have you said flippant comments as above in the wrong place!

We've got a lot of charity shops here - as most places do now I expect. And the one thing they nearly all have in common is they are all so crammed with goods, and display stands, and customers that it's generally impossible not to stand close to other people!
So I'm.struggling to how her behaviour in the shop was particularly odd.
I wouldn't worry about your comment other than reflecting about being more tolerant about other people's behaviour.

There were two identical bags in the charity shop? Was this 'new' goods? Not the point of the thread but I hate the way some charity shops are filling up with new goods rather than second hand stuff; often the new stuff is utter tat (not saying your bag was, of course, that would be putting my foot in it 😆).

What did you say to the husband after he told you?

oh dear, yes they were new goods,
i dont think they were tat but i will find out!

he didnt say it to me, thankfully, he said it to my dh, who told me later
