Recently changed mine set with my domestic husband we both have x amount of spending money per month doesn't matter to me who earns what or what we have coming in, end of day we have x once bills are paid and both have x for spends but as a female I tend to do the life admin, birthday Xmas etc etc, adult domestic kids both self sufficient, one mine one his from previous relationship but get treated equally by us both, my hubby has expensive hobby and often spends alot of time money and activities associated with it, so funds soon go thus leaving me for meals out, activities etcetc and unless I want to be a hermit thus I finance things on my end, just been away for the weekend with one child, I paid for accommodation for us all, evening meal and a chosen activities yesterday, so today I made sure he paid for chosen activities and food today secretly laughing my head off when he dared to have a little winge when I stated my activity cost was 80 pounds plus accommodation and food equals Ā£200quid to his Ā£100spend todayšŸ¤”šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£one up for me and a vent! Lesson learned for him, and a new pair of boots ordered for myselfšŸ˜‰šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£, anyone else have similar issues, lol

*mindset

domestic husband ??? what’s one of those

merryhouse · 27/09/2025 22:35

I'm wondering if domestic is an autocarrot?

OP needs to clarify slightly. Not entirely sure what lesson H has learned? or why it resulted in a new pair of boots

Pinkelephant66 · 27/09/2025 22:39

That is probably the longest sentence I have ever read.

Ironfloor269 · 27/09/2025 22:41

Which one of you pays for punctuation and paragraphs?

JetFlight · 27/09/2025 22:50

You spent £200 and he spent £100? Did he buy you boots to make up the shortfall? This is very confusing.

BatchCookBabe · 27/09/2025 22:53

I must be tired, because I didn't understand a word of that! Confused

Rosesfornoses · 27/09/2025 23:01

Nor me but from the little I understood it doesn’t sound as if the OP likes her husband much. ,

LizzyEm · 27/09/2025 23:02

So he has his cake and eats it?
Why would you laugh about that op?
