MsAwesomeDragon · 25/09/2025 20:23

I started playing ingress (a location based game on my phone) in my 30s to make going for a walk a bit more interesting. Now I'm meeting up with people, going to different cities to play, attending large events. It's tons of fun.

Mantrailing with my dog at 42. We follow a scent trail to find a missing person. We both thoroughly enjoy it

Jigsaws - I started doing them during Lockdown and now there's always a puzzle laid out in our study to tinker with.

Cross stitch - again, another Lockdown past time which completely beguiled me. Now it's a big part of my life and I love visiting specialist craft fayres and I follow dozens of stitching accounts on Instagram.

Thrifting - a friend introduced me to the joy of browsing charity shops for miscellaneous treasure. I have picked up Denby stoneware, pristine Folio Society books, a gilt Laura Ashley mantle mirror and hallmarked silver photo frames. You never know what you're going to discover. It's addictive!

Calligraphy - people have often commented that I have beautiful handwriting, so I recently dabbled and am now booked onto a beginner's course next week. Cannot wait!
