For boring reasons I haven’t had an oven for 6 months. I can’t see this being rectified in the near future and I am really struggling with ideas on what to feed everyone ☹️

What I do have:

  • gas hob rings
  • airfryer
  • microwave
  • slow cooker
  • toaster

I am trying to feed:

  • 3 children
  • one husband who won’t like anything I make anyway so no need to worry too much
  • myself who is gluten free. However I don’t matter much either and can just eat soup if it’s a gluten meal.

Please help. I am really struggling.
I don’t have much time after school due to 3 kids all being in different schools, so needs to be easy to prepare or can be prepared in advance.

Thank you 🙂

Our oven has also given up the ghost. our meals consist of a rotation of:
curries
fajitas
marry me chicken
spag bol/ pasta and meat balls
burgers and air fryer fries
bangers and mash
chilli con carne/soft tacos/ loaded nachos
fried rice
stir fries/ bibimbap with gyozas.

Jacket spuds with various toppings. I do chopped chicken & bacon in mustard mayo. This is also nice in part baked rolls with lettuce.

Make a "pizza" with part baked rolls in the air fryer. Bake for 5 mins. Top with tomato puree, grated cheese & topping of choice. Put back in air fryer for 5 mins.

Pasta, sauce & meatballs.
Spaghetti bolognaise.
Diced chicken & salad in wraps.
Fajitas.
Sausage, egg & chips.
Chilli & rice
Pulled pork & salad
Burgers
Stew
Soup with cheese toasties

My oven is an aga which doesn’t come on to October. I do protien in air fryer generally chicken thighs, pork chops, salmon, meatballs, bacon etc. Carbs I rotate pasta, rice and spuds, veg or salad. Everything gets served family style on big plates and help yourself.

My family is fussy so often sauces on side too and they build their own. Or I might do a lemon: herb rub on half the meat and a chilli one on the rest.

Nothing takes more than 20 minutes no prep.
