University - Single sex bathrooms / toilets

With my daughter going to university soonish, I really don’t want her to get lumbered with a university that only has unisex toilets. We all know why. 🤢🙄

Does you / does anybody have feedback from your daughter/s about their university accommodation / libraries / colleges, provisions in this area?

I wondered if some universities were better (less pandering to the patriarchy / men) than others. I see even at the oldest women’s college in Cambridge, they don’t have single sex provision. 🤯

Thanks

Which area? The university I attend, north east, has single sex toilets and then separate inclusive toilets

Same with the one I’m at. Individual rooms.

We all know why? Really? Please enlighten me. Surely a private cubicle can be used by anyone? What do you feel your daughter is at risk of?

I've been looking as we go round Open Days, I've not had any problem finding single sex ones anywhere. But really there are so many other factors when choosing a uni and course.

Sorry OP but assuming every room with a toilet is just one separate room, it doesn't matter. Back in the 90s we had mixed floors of about ten rooms with maybe 3 toilets and showers, everyone just wandered the corridor in bathrobes.

DD1 has recently graduated and DD2 is still at uni. Neither of them has ever mentioned the toilets and it has never occurred to me to ask.

What is it that you are worried about?
