You can get bespoke sized ones made. We did that for a small double sofa bed. Was about £100 but that was a few years back.

Have you looked online ? Mattressonline and Panda do small double mattress toppers.

Hi,
It will overhang the width of the mattress but the length will be the same.

The mattress width of a small double is 4ft or 120cm and a double is 4ft 6" or 135cm.

If you can't source a small doublebtopper, you could always buy a double and get it altered if the price plus alterations is reasonable.

We got a small double topper from Dunelm. Was under £40 iirc. It's not very thick but perfectly adequate. Perhaps you could use 2 thinner ones? My concern about getting one that's too big would mean the sheet wouldn't stay on properly.

Argos have mattress toppers in small double size (we got the silent night anti-allergy one for DD going to uni). You can filter by size - looks like they have 7 options?

No idea about the quality, but there are several on Ebay.

Thanks everyone.
I have ordered one of the Silent night ones from Argos but it says 6 days delivery and our son moves into halls on Saturday. Thankfully he's not staying very far away so we can drop it off next week.

Just get a double. It’s only 3” difference on each side. And he’ll probably have a double bed in rented house next year. Just get everything (duvet, sheets, topper) in double.
