Is eating so much/so quickly you make yourself sick a thing?

I've never experienced it, but (young adult) DS came home from work "starving" after a long shift. Cooked himself a large pizza, ate it quickly, then thre the whole lot up.

He says he felt OK before and does again now. He's eaten something else and kept that down.

If I'm honest, I'm wondering if something else made him sick....

I know of a 6 year old does this. Eats so quickly and a large volume, vomits, then carries on eating!

It's common amongst over excited 5 year olds at birthday parties but i wouldnt expect an adult male to eat so quickly that he made himself sick.

Yes, this can happen. If he isn't sick again chalk it up to experience. If it keeps happening, he needs to see the GP promptly.

My DB did this when we were younger.
