What do you wish your pregnancy/baby classes had?

I’m a fed up NHS midwife.

I’m thinking of starting to offer some pregnancy and/or baby classes but feel like pregnancy yoga, baby sensory etc. have been done to death? Perhaps even antenatal classes.

I’d be interested to know how others found such classes? I didn’t do anything when I had my DC.

The majority of the women I care for have done NCT.

Can you ask @mnhq to move this to an appropriate section like Pregnancy.

Oh fgs. This is chat. On Mumsnet. Therefore all but guaranteeing a significant proportion of users will have given birth and have thoughts. Far more traffic than Pregnancy.

OP I think in my liberal London enclave, hypnobirthing and baby sensory are probably the top classes pre and then post-natally. A decent breastfeeding clinic would be wonderful but I think perhaps more of a drop-in thing and therefore less stable for you.

@FlorenceAndTheVagine thats simply not accurate.

That is WHY there are specific sections 🫣

I didn't do anything when I had mine, but I think something on sleep and on common problems ( like nappy rash) would have been helpful.

Would have liked baby signing class but wasn't available where I was back then.
