Best anti scar treatment please

Hello wise mumsnetters, please help.
I've had a nasty fall and cut the bridge of my nose open really badly. This was a few days ago now so the wound has closed up. No stitches. But it looks ghastly.
I went to the pharmacy and they said I can't put any anti scar creams on it until the final scab has dropped off. I have read conflicting info to this online which said i should start doing as soon as its not an open wound anymore.
So my questions are. 1. Should I start putting some sort of anti scar cream on it now, or wait until scabs have all come off? And if so, which one would you reccomend?
It's right in the middle of my face so I really want to get this right?

I’ve not used a cream, I used the silicone scar tape over night and was very happy with it

Did you use it straight away or after the scabs had come off? I have seen theese. Thank you

Scar management is part of my job. Vaseline over the scab twice a day until it falls off (wash wound before application to remove old Vaseline/scab) then massage and moisturise twice a day. Massage as hard as you can tolerate in circular motions along the length of the scar. Silicone gel strips after a couple of months if the scar doesn’t fade. Scars take a year to mature so continue with massage and moisturise for all that time.
