I favourited a tshirt I liked on Vinted. I had bought exactly the same one before a few months ago - at almost a third of the price, so I wasn’t about to buy but I favourited. A few days later the seller messaged me with an offer to drop the price by a quarter.
i responded with a message like ‘thanks so much for lowering the price. I have actually bought this before as I love the brand. However I didn’t pay anywhere near xx. If you were willing to drop it to xx, I’d buy it immediately. Many thanks,
I didn’t hear from her and didn’t think any more about it. Tonight she messages and says that I didn’t need to tell her I hadn’t paid anywhere near her price. That I was doing it to make her feel bad for the price she was setting. She didn’t feel it was in keeping with Vinted values and so she’s blocking me. (Sorry, haven’t got the app on my phone so can’t cut and paste verbatim but that’s the giste)
i was very polite - what did I do wrong? It feels unbelievably precious of her to react like that
