Anyone on here just stayed as a couple? And have never married?

As me and my partner are wondering to get married or not at age 33.

What are your reasons for wanting to get married and what reasons do you not want to? This is a personal decision and if it's one that will be influenced by an internet poll you should probably do neither and split up.

This is funny because I’ve been thinking about this. I’ve been married for 3 years, we got engaged after 2 years but had 10 years in between. We both have difficulty families and every time we tried to set a date some crap would happen. I didn’t have a relationship with my parents for years, then similar on his side. Now we are married it makes me really sad that it took us so long and others influenced us.

We met in our twenties but was lat thirties before marriage.

What I never considered was people pass away as you get older. my mother passed before we married.

This was a difficult thing to accept but there’s no changing it.

My advice would be have to wedding you want in the way you want it. If you only want one guest then do it. Everyone else moves on, it’s your life not theirs.
