I'm trying to buy a couple of particular Jellycat plushies and they don't seem to be available anywhere. Are they limited edition?

Some are. Not all.

There’s a core line, which is usually available, and then seasonal variations which are available for a while, and retired ones that can’t be bought new anymore so tend to have insane prices.

My daughter has a retired limited edition bunny worth about £650 now 🥴 The teabag that was limited edition and restricted to small stockists recently was £25 new I think; around there, and is reselling for £90+.

You can see if it’s retired on the Jellycat website. If you’re buying second hand, look out for fakes, there’s a surprising amount of them.

Which ones? Some sell out very quickly, some are only available in certain shops or countries etc.

I can't find any info about discontinued items on the website.

I suppose if there's no mention on the official website they're not available.

I was looking for the swimming goggles, and the pigeon.

I think the pigeon is maybe exclusive to Selfridges. Not sure about the goggles, but I think they were part of a summer range so probably sold out by now although they may restock at some point.

ETA if it's these ones, they're retired now so your options are eBay or Vinted, or chancing upon a small shop that may have some lingering on the shelf.

There are a few jellycat Facebook selling groups. Or try some independent shops as well as John Lewis, Selfridges etc. Be careful with seemingly cheaper ones on eBay and vinted, people sell fakes.

The pigeon is exclusive to Selfridge’s London and can only be bought in store. So if you can get to London or know someone who is then that’s a good way to do it or there is Jellycat FB group where kind members have bought pigeons and are selling them at a capped price for people who can’t make it to London.
Thats how I got one for my daughter and paid £46 inc postage.
