Christmas Dinner 🤣🤣🤣

Chemenger · 13/09/2025 18:56

I had liver and bacon for lunch today, in a farm shop restaurant. Hadn’t had it for ages because nobody else in the family would eat it. It was delicious. I’m expecting most people to be horrified at the thought!

Lamb’s liver, bacon and onion gravy with mashed potato

@Chemenger cross post!

Did you and Chemenger visit the same cafe?😆

Shepherd's pie. We've given up eating red meat, and it's the only thing I miss. Shepherd's pie, cabbage and baked beans- real comfort food on a cold day.

Cheese triangle aka 90s number, made in the Breville sandwich toaster, with crusty bits from the last batch on it. Deeeelish.

Lasagne, because it's not worth making it for just me (the child won't eat it) although it's one of my favourites.

Wish I hadn't looked at this thread.
There's loads of foods I haven't had for a long time because I generally just have salad for my main meal. But now I've got an absolute craving for some crispy bacon and fried eggs.

Sortalike · 13/09/2025 19:43

Apple Crumble.

Am tempted to make one tomorrow.

ObtuseMoose · 13/09/2025 19:44

Eggs, my husband is allergic so we don't buy them but I often crave a soft boiled with soldiers.

Charlie Bigham one is great. As is the M&s versions. Expensive, but cheaper than a takeaway.

My horrible ex made an excellent lasagna, and these are fine. I’m never making one from scratch

KelsCommemorativeSausage · 13/09/2025 20:36

@Donttellempike ooh thank you, I'll try those!
