Swim/aqua socks that are easy to get on and off?

Hello,
I'm doing hydrotherapy for a very dodgy ankle among other things, and need to have something on my feet to walk around the pool area. I've been wearing crocs but my the skin on my toes is completely shredded due to the friction from constantly being in and out of water. I think ideally I need a sock or liner that would fit inside the crocs. I can't walk far barefoot even on dry land and the slippery floor makes it harder. The crocs work because of the foot position (heel higher than toe) and back strap (flip flops are a no-go). They are fine at home with socks! Have googled and looked on Amazon but everything seems very tight and/or thick. I know this is a bit specific but would be grateful if anyone has any ideas!
