I have just lost out on a job opportunity that would make life much more comfortable. I'm putting on a brave face because it's what I do. Inside I'm feeling fragile. So I'm having an online pity party and if anyone wants to join please share your woes.

Ah sorry OP, its shit. My colleague has just had an internal interview for a higher position. It seemed a shoe in but she didn't get it and is gutted. I feel for both of you but other opportunities will come along. Sorry 😞

There’s a better job right round the corner for you. In a couple of years, you’ll look back and think how different your life would have been if you’d got this job, and all the things you’d have missed out on.

I’m spending the night in hospital opposite a man who is intent on taking up all of the medical staff’s time with his moaning, it’s hotter than hell and someone has done a stinking poo. I’d very much like to go home but not allowed until at least tomorrow.
