Le Savoir Faire in London

Hi, I'm hoping I might find someone who lives or works in London who has heard of this place!

I emailed them a while ago about a large group booking in January and had completely forgotten about it until they recently replied. Trouble is, the email sounded completely AI generated and I cannot get through to them on the phone, even to leave a message.

I'm genuinely wondering if they're still open/exist?! Website looks great and I was struggling to find a place in that area open for large groups so close after New Year, so don't want to give up on them yet! Last TripAdvisor review was a couple of months ago.

Can anyone shed any light for a northerner who won't be down there before the big day? 😊 TIA!

Google says they are still open, I doubt they'd be sending any kind of reply if shut for good and Google is usually accurate on this.

How large is your group? Emailing for a booking this early seems a bit excessive, I'm not sure they'll even be planning that far ahead other than for run up to Christmas itself.

I did Google too. I suppose I'm feeling a bit responsible as I need to send out save the dates for all my Mum's friends! There will be around 25 if we can all come, and we've already booked the hotel.

Near Tottenham court rd/British museum. Yeah it's still there. I thought it was pretty good, used to go loads. But not been in over ten years. I saw it the other day though.

@DiscoBob Thanks - was it open? 😅 It sounds perfect.

Yeah it was. If it's still under the same ownership it should still be pretty good. I was actually thinking I'd like to go again when I walked past. Come and tell us how it was. X

Husband and I are fond of it. Food isn't spectacular, but it's nice and has a pleasant atmosphere, and not too pricey. Hope you enjoy your meal.

Thank you both. 😊 I'll persist then!

Just got through to them, funnily enough! Will report back in January. 😊

Is it still ok then? True the food isn't super fancy but I used to think it seemed fairly 'authentic', tasty and yes, good value. And it's got a nice atmosphere.

I remember the toilets being somewhat iffy. Hopefully they've had them redone by now!

Yeah, still seems to be OK last we went. It's partly nice just to go to an independent place with some character.
