He thinks a man can grow a cervix. One can only presume that he believes women can grow a prostate (although I suspect if questioned he probably couldn't tell you what a prostate gland is). I agree it is very troubling that someone so ill-informed is deputy PM. Labour is a car crash right now.

Thanks. I realise that different people have different areas of knowledge and expertise but he didn't strike me as being too bright.

On the other hand, you could say that he went to pieces under pressure and blurted out daft answers. It was about ten years ago and he might have come on since then but regardless of my politics, which are more or less jaded and just wanting the best team for the job, regardless of party by now, he doesn't inspire confidence in me, somehow.

Not really - this buffoon is supposd to be Deputy Prime Minister. Just shows what a complete lack of any talent or intelligence the PM had to choose from. Both depressing and terrifying. Makes us (at best) a laughing stock in the world.
