Am I supposed to sign this bit of invoice?

I'm returning shoes to Geox, which is based in Italy. I have to include customs invoices, but can someone tell me if I'm supposed to sign this bit?

I realise it might be obvious but I haven't had to make an EU return since Brexit!

I can't read the photo, but, generally ink signatures off real people are needed on export declarations for the small parcels my work sends overseas

That'll do for me then, thank you

I sell online. If customers outside UK wish to return an item to me they have to write "RETURNED GOODS NO TAX TO PAY" clearly on the customs form as I am not prepared to pay duty to get my own goods back. Returned goods with duty attached are refused because the return is not in conformity with my terms of trade.

A few months back a customer couriered a package back from the USA without any discission to recieve my instructions. It lacked the declaration or any customs documents. The courier was unable to present it at customs and in due course returned it. They charged the buyer a hefty return fee. An expensive lesson for him.

Ahh.... does that explain why my refund amount is about half what I paid?
