Is Ankara a safe destination for lone female travellers?

There’s the gov.uk website information and others but I’m not sure a lone woman staying g in Ankara and using taxis to get around is a good idea. Anyone any experience of staying in the city? Any recommendations?

Ankara is perfectly safe as is Istanbul. I've travelled to both on my own. Obviously take the usual precautions as a solo female traveller you should take anywhere and you'll be grand
