Looking for ideas for dessert at an informal wedding buffet.

Hi,

I’m helping to organise a wedding party. The bride has asked for something really simple for dessert. The main course is a Vietnamese dish, with mango salads, which will be really flavourful.

She really wanted something self-serve. Does anyone have any good ideas? TIA!

Individual pots of fruit fool eg raspberry or gooseberry or rhubarb, you could offer a selection. Make the fool with 50/50 beaten double cream and rich vanilla custard.

Individual glasses of wine jelly with fruit.

Tropical fruit salad.

Individual fruit tarts, confectioners custard topped with summer fruits.

With fruit in the main course I'd stick to something non-fruit for dessert e.g. chocolate mousse the PP suggested or chocolate tart
